At Align Wellness Occupational Therapy, we believe in transparent pricing. This guide outlines our fee structure and available rebate options. Please note that fees may change over time, so we encourage you to contact us for the most current information specific to your needs.
Working together
Align Wellness Occupational Therapy accepts self-referrals, private health funds, Mental Health Care Plans, NDIS and DVA.
Align Wellness is a mobile and virtual service offering face to face appointmentts at home or in the community in the Whitsunday region or via Telehealth.

Medicare
In order to claim a rebate under the Better Access Initiative (Medicare) you will need a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your General Practitioner. This can provide access of up to ten sessions in one calendar year. A report is required to be provided to your General Practitioner at session six and ten. This report contains general information, as well as recommendations for future care.
In order to claim the Medicare rebate for your sessions you will need to provide a copy of your MHCP or doctors referral at your first appointment. If you are unable to provide your referral, you will be required to pay the full fee for the session.
Eligible clients can claim a Medicare rebate of $85.20 per individual session or $109.75 for homevisits or community based appointments.
The full consultation fee will be collected at the time of your appointment. For convenience, Medicare rebates are processed on the spot and paid directly into your nominated bank account
DVA
Align proudly supports veterans and their families by providing mental health occupational therapy services through DVA referrals. If you have a DVA White Card or Gold Card ask your GP to complete a referral using a D0904 form
Self Referrals
If you would prefer not to visit your General Practitioner for a referral or are not eligible under Medicare you can simply make an appointment.
Please note: Self-referred clients are required to pay the cost of sessions at their own expense.
NDIS
We welcome referrals for clients who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS. Our services are designed to support participants with psychosocial disabilities, due to neurodivergent diagnoses and/ or mental health conditions, to build capacity and engage meaningfully in their daily lives.

Telehealth
$190ph ($104.80 out of pocket with a mental health care plan)
Home visits/ Community Sessions
$210ph ($100.25 out of pocket with a mental health care plan)
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens – however, to ensure we can offer consistent and fair access to our services, we require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24hrs notice will incur a cancellation fee of $80. Failure to attend an appointment without notice, will incur the full fee. Please be aware that Medicare rebates can not be claimed for cancellations

Private Health Funds
If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee. Please seek advice from your private health insurer.
Please note: You are unable to claim both Medicare and Private Health Insurance for each session
NDIS
NDIS services are billed as per the the NDIS pricing arrangements 2024-25
$193.99ph + travel costs for home visits and community appointments
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens – however, to ensure we can offer consistent and fair access to our services, we require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee, in line with NDIS guidelines. DVA
DVA does not incurr any out of pocket expense
